GCA is a sole-provider business registered to Damien Finlayson who understands projects involving groundwater can be challenging. Groundwater is mostly unseen and can either be of benefit to a project or a problem. GCA will help help negotiate the technical or regulatory groundwater issues you may be facing. Science-based Experience.

Groundwater Quality Assessments

Clean and contaminated groundwater quality review and assessment against water quality guidelines. NATA accreditied laboratories undertake the analysis, GCA assesses the data in light of your water quality requiements. Salinity related assessments are a speciality.

Field Investigations

GCA offers a range of field investigation services including; drilling and bore construction oversight, pump testing data collection, borehole monitoring and groundwater sampling.

Data Evaluation & Reporting

Data is at the heart of hydrogeology whether it be interpreation of geological maps, field surveys, geological or geophysical borehole logs, pump testing data, water-level hydrographs or the concentrations of chemicals in water, GCA will collect and assess all available data necessary to answer what questions you may be asking. 2-D groundwater flow and solute transport modelling can be underaken to estimate the fate of groundfwater under future scenarios. GCA also favours Monte Carlo simulations to consider outcomes where data variability or uncertainty exists.

Project Management

GCA can advise and/or manage the necessary components of your project to deliver the groundwater outcomes you need. This may include drilling contractors, groundwater sampling or monitoring hardware, field investigations, specialist services such as seismic or aerial geophysical surveys, laboratory analysis for water or soil samples. Importantly, health and safety, quality control and environmental impact mitigation are foundation principals on all projects.

Regrettably, disputes into matters of groundwater occur from time to time. GCA has the experience and experience to guide my client's legal team and the courts through technical aspects of hydrogeological matters and achieve a resolution.
